So many things going on in the world! I feel like I should speak about it, but all I can do is be sad :(

Writing this post however as a reminder to myself that a quarter of the year is nearly over and I've barely gotten anything done, not to moan and whine about the state of the world, though my prayers go to Japan.

1. Get own credit card.
No progress. Too lazy.

2. Switch to postpaid phone plan.
I think I'll be dropping this one. It's just not feasible for the kind of life I have right now.

3. Get a new phone.
My cousins forgot to load the apps T_T

4. Apply for a master's degree abroad.
In progress. In difficult and excruciating progress.

5. Apply for a scholarship for master's degree.
This one I'm struggling with even MORE than item #4.

6. Apply for IELTS.
Done with the listening/reading/writing part yesterday, speaking part tomorrow!

7. Find team to stick it out with in my current company.
...*sigh*

8. Upgrade camera (CMOS sensor!!!)
Done. Sort of. I'm not sure if it qualifies as an upgrade but I definitely enjoy my 'new' old gf1 more than my d40, and it has a CMOS sensor!

9. Get Europe visa.
...*sigh* I'll be sure to have to look into this sooner or later for July's trip, but I'm really overwhelmed with items 4-6 right now.

10. Renew US visa.
Already expired D: And no valid reason to renew it any time soon.

3/10 items in 3/12 months. Not bad I think.

Its already mid-February and I haven't acted on any of my goals yet... *is totally annoyed at self*

1. Get own credit card.
The only reason why this hasn't been done yet is out of my own laziness. I already have all the necessary documents, rawr.

2. Switch to postpaid phone plan.
This one I'm rethinking as I'm now realizing how flexible a prepaid plan actually is.

3. Get a new phone.
Well, this one is semi-done. I have a new old phone? Not using it yet though as I'm having my cousins load me some apps.

4. Apply for a master's degree abroad.
This is turning out to be more difficult than I thought! Who would've guessed that the application process would be so tedious and confusing? I think I need professional help :(

5. Apply for a scholarship for master's degree.
Will look into this after #4.

6. Apply for IELTS.
Planning to take one this March!

7. Find team to stick it out with in my current company.
...*sigh*

8. Upgrade camera (CMOS sensor!!!)
I'm thinking of getting a smaller camera instead, like a micro-4/3rds or a Ricoh for travel, but have yet to find one I like enough!

9. Get Europe visa.
UGH.

10. Renew US visa.
UGH. UGH. UGH.
1st-Jan-2011 03:40 am - 2011 GOALS
:D
Happy new year to all!

Sneaking in this entry from the office pantry, because yes, I'm here stuck in the office while the fireworks are right outside.

Anyway, what's this sudden entry for? In the almost 5 years of this blog's existence, not once have I posted my yearly goals/resolutions. And that's because I usually don't have any.

I know it sounds cliche to say this all started once I graduated from college, but its true! School had pretty much dictated my goals, but at work its go at your own pace and decide where you want to direct your career. If I don't decide on what I want to do, I know I'm just going to languish here, earning money, but bored out of my wits.

*reels self in*

Yea, I realize it looks more like a to-do list than actual goals/resolutions. But hey, one of my 2010 goals was to get a job and here I am! Ok, back to work :)
21st-Jul-2010 10:28 pm - 2010's Birthday Wishlist
love
Waking up this blog in time for this year's birthday wishlist!

1. Madeline Floppy Hat from Forever21 in Natural. Because can-can hats are all the rage in Japan and I just can't stop thinking of wearing it.

cut for everyone's sanity!Collapse )
And that's it!

I like doing this wishlist tradition because even if no one ever gets me anything for me from here *sob*, I end up accumulating the stuff anyway throughout the year (I already have about 4 out of 10 of last year's list). It's all about focus!

...

Now if I can just say the same way about my life... heh.
